Evaluate the current evidence regarding the clinical outcomes associated with HIF-PH inhibitors compared to ESA and identify the factors that may influence patient selection for the use of HIF-PH inhibitors as a potential treatment option for anemia in CKD. HIF-PH inhibitors are a new class of oral drugs for the treatment of anaemia in CKD patients. They demonstrated comparable efficacy to ESA in anemia correction and maintenance. Despite expectations, they have not shown better outcomes compared to ESA.
